Creating enabling environments often requires regulatory changes to attract private sector financing. This report examines the global experience in successful private sector-led investments in power transmission and their applicability within the Sub-Saharan African context. It draws lessons from these experiences, highlights what regulations and other factors are needed to attract private sector participation in Africa’s electricity transmission infrastructure.
