Railroad Corridor Performance Monitoring

The Rail Freight Corridor Rhine Alpine is responsible for the largest transport volume in Europe and provides a good example of how to manage and monitor performance of a railroad corridor. The data for performance monitoring is gathered by RFC Rhine-Alpine, a multi-stakeholder group whose members are various rail network operating companies of the 5 corridor countries. RFC Rhine-Alpine acts as a coordination body and developed a corridor one stop shop (C-OSS) tool to provide end customers with information on spare capacity of international freight trains.
